Jang Seeder

We bought a Jang hand push seeder this year from Mechanical Transplanter Company in Michigan. The seeders are made in Korea. We’re going to be networking with other farmers who have bought this seeder to collaborate on which rollers and gear settings work best for specific seeds. We don’t have any video of the seeder in action yet but I did come across an interesting setup of a gang of the seeders following behind a rotary hoe prepping the seed bed. An effective use of effeciency for sure.

I’m seriously considering the jang seeder & have been researching it on the web to find reviews without too much luck. As you network with other farmers about the rollers & gear settings would you mind sharing? We are a small organic farm in new england with about 4 acres in cultivation.

Columbus Irrigation will give you a 10 %
discount on the Jang Seeders . I bought one from Dan @ C. I. this spring .He has a web site . I planted corn ,peas, carrots ,flowers and different lettuce and the seeder worked good. Tom Averwater

I am very interested italking to anyone who is using the 6 row jang seeder for baby leaf salads, spinnach and aragula production. I currently have an earthway seeder but it is much more suitable for bigger seeds. will the jang seeder leave the seedbed suitable for mechanical harvesting.

Hi Chris,

Do you have any feedback from using the Jang Seeder in the last year? I’m starting a small organic farm this year in Wisconsin, and am trying to make the decision on which seeder to purchase.

Thanks!

Hey,
This ridiculously wet spring we’ve been having has made me start to question whether we need seeders that work better in marginal soil. Planet Jr.s work fine as long as the soil is dry and perfect… how do you feel about your new Jang seeders? What were you using before that? And on a related topic, what process do you go through to get your beds prepped before you seed? We till, rake occasionally, and then roll the bed with a weighted drum roller… I’m curious what equipment/process you use. Thanks,
Jason
