Another Electric Tractor Conversion
Some fellow farmers out of Minnesota with an electric conversion of their cultivating tractor. This idea is really starting to gain a little momentum. Check out the video of them seeding with the tractoring too.
And here’s a look at their garlic digger Simple is good.
I’m starting my search around the net to see what kind of info I can start drumming up from other folks. Seems like we’re hitting a certain point that many newer farmers are blogging or at least online. Let’s get the info flowing.

That looks like a great garlic digger. I think Larry Holmes uses something similar. On the other blogging farmers thought, do you know of freshmanfarmer.groworganic.com? Your efforts in getting the good word out have inspired me. Hopefully I’ll find more time to enact that inspiration this year.
A live plow horse or team to pull cultivation equipment looks like it would have more power and can deliver at a quicker speed than the electric tractor video show. Maybe electric conversion is not the direction but efficient and effective design equipment for real horse power. Electric at this time just does not have the power. There is no efficient ,effective, green design replacement for the modern petroleum tractor for commercial farming. I truly wish there was.
I’d really like to do that. Next step is to make it solar powered!
yep, there’s always more to do
